About Us
The Wyoming State Bar Foundation will provide funding for legal services to the people of Wyoming who would otherwise be unable to afford legal assistance, and to promote, through financial support and other means, public education projects to facilitate knowledge and awareness of the law and to improve the administration of justice.
The State Bar Foundation was established as a non-profit 501 (c) (3) corporation in 1981 to
- Provide civil legal services to the poor of Wyoming, who would otherwise be unable to obtain legal assistance;
- Provide public education projects which promote a knowledge and awareness of the law; and
- Provide projects which improve the administration of justice.
Since 1989, the Foundation has awarded over $900,000.00 in grants to agencies and programs in Wyoming which are dedicated to the above goals. Foundation members are attorneys from who are committed to accomplishing the Foundation's goals. The Foundation is governed by an eleven member Board of Directors, elected from the membership.
